Good Shout is a Community

Good Shout is a Community ⚡

Not only do our alumni stay engaged with us for life, but we have the best in the business teaching our classes.

Every single one of our Very Special Guests is at the top of their game, and has extensive experience in delivering accredited and transformative training. Every single one of the team has that…. something. A Good Shout special sauce that’s (probably) a mixture of intelligence, humility and beautiful resistance to cringe and embarrassment.

Unlike many other training groups, we’re not driven by ego or those traditional parent/child learning dynamics. In fact, it’s the opposite: during your time with Good Shout, we are at your service. So if you fancy being trained by an award-winning journalist, or LEGO Serious Play facilitator, or bestselling author, or B2B creator, or podcaster, or B2B Top Voice and creator, you should probably come to us.

Georgina Armstrong

Georgina is a Sociologist turned sales pro (with 20+ years of experience) who brings a no-nonsense approach and memorable energy. Passionate about clear communication and success through relationship building, Georgina spent the first part of her career working in media and tech for The Guardian, Channel 4, YouTube and Twitter. In a fun twist she took a year out to go to culinary school - so if you need to know what to do with the tired veggies in your fridge, ask Georgina. Committed to purpose-driven work, Georgina is Operations Director at Good Shout determined to help more people unlock the magic of clarity, use their voice and actually enjoy what they do.

“As a salesperson, I have been on SO MANY courses. Only one sticks out as actually being any good. I hadn’t found another until I discovered Good Shout. I love being part of the team - because we give people THAT moment they remember for the rest of their lives.”

Nicola Kemp

Nicola Kemp believes that everyone has a story to tell. As a journalist, editor and event host with over two decades of experience she has heard a ton of stories. Too many of them were boring, jargon-filled and missing the lived experience of diverse talent. Having started her career as a financial journalist before specialising in technology, social trends, marketing and DEI. Nicola believes in being the change you want to see in the world. Her work has appeared across titles including Campaign, WGSN, Reuters, Bloomberg, The Guardian and The Observer. As lead facilitator at Good Shout she is committed to working with people to tell their own story in their own unique, interesting way. With no boring jargon allowed.

Nicola Kemp - Good Shout

“I am passionate about working at Good Shout because so many people are scared to speak in the workplace. This has devastating consequences for the businesses they work in and their own self esteem.I have seen first hand the transformational impact of our courses on individual performance and company culture. Our team are experts and we care more so we have more impact. It’s that simple.”

Aziza O’Bearne

Aziza O’Bearne - Good Shout

Aziza O’Beirne (she/her) spent almost a decade in radio and media in Ireland, learning just how amazing voices are and how they connect with people on a deep level. After getting kicked out of Ireland for being too funny on-air, off-air, and as a stand-up comedian, she travelled to South America and Southeast Asia, settling in Vietnam, as an award-winning podcast host. In her quest for genius, she fell in love with facilitation while studying Innovation Through Design Thinking, where she’s finishing her master’s research on the importance of social connection to strangers. Known for her great energy in Good Shout sessions, Aziza describes herself as a Caring and Sharing Clown - she loves to embarrass herself, encourage others to do so, and help people show off their personalities through their voices.

“I was once told that women’s radio shows wouldn’t work because our voices were 'annoying'—what a load of nonsense! I have learned that magic happens when you do the opposite of what oppressive environments try to mold you into. Good Shout does that and more, helping you to unlearn the nonsense and to embrace science, facts, and experiences that helps you shine. It’s all about trust-your- gut feelings that bring your personality to the stage.”

Gavin Owen

Gavin Owen - Good Shout

Gav was 16 when he ran away to join the circus. Kind of. Interested in theatre from an early age, he worked at a holiday camp, dressing up as a cartoon bear to keep guests entertained. He worked in theatre and entertainment for many years, delivering experiences through lighting and production, and then designing and developing iconic venues like the Young Vic, Camden Roundhouse and RST. The most recent stage of his career. He’s taken his exceptional understanding of audiences stage presence into the transformation world, to help employees better equip themselves for change, and at Good Shout is the ultimate cheerleader for their many trainees. Trained in the LEGO Serious Play methodology, he brings creativity and chaos and camaraderie to everything he does.

“I’ve never experienced anything quite like Good Shout. Surprising people through learning and giving them goosebumps provides a joy to me as a facilitator that’ll never wear thin. I love how ridiculous we are, whilst being truly dedicated to making our participants feel safe.”

Morag Cuddeford Jones

Morag Cuddeford-Jones is a journalist, broadcaster, occasional author and frequent social media scroller. Over her 20-plus year career, she has swapped jobs, countries and titles and laughs heartily if anyone should ask “if everything has gone to plan so far”. A passionate advocate of ‘giving it a go’, a favoured mantra is: What’s the worst that can happen? In just one example of giving it a go, she accidentally wrote a Sunday Times Hardback bestseller (it really was an accident) which kicked off her whole broadcasting career. Speaking of which, for Good Shout, she delivers insights on refining broadcasting technique, from making your point memorable to banishing the dreaded ‘ums’, ‘likes’ and ‘y’knows’. The irony has not escaped her that she has never once been formally trained to do any of the many roles she has occupied. In fact, she reckons she’s learned more about her own craft teaching the broadcast portion of the Good Shout universe than she has from popping up on BBC TV and radio. For Morag, Good Shout isn’t teacher and student. It’s a shared energy that revitalises, empowers and enthuses. It’s a buzz!

Morag Cuddeford Jones - Good Shout

“Good Shout is more than just taking a training course. We call it helping people to find their voice. Many already have a voice of course, but all too often they find it squashed, minimise, silenced. Through a variety of devilish exercises we see these people embrace the wonderful things they have to say, and say them in new, powerful ways. All killer, no filler!”
