Leadership and being a better colleague.

Work doesn’t have to feel like a family.

You don’t have to love the people you work with. In fact, you don’t even have to like the people that you work with, but you can have chemistry with them. And that requires better communication, more honesty, and understanding how to get the best out of people. Being a good colleague should be really simple, and at Good Shout we use gorgeous immersive techniques and (non-cringe) entertainment to bring the challenges and solutions to life.

In our Good Chemistry package, we offer one or many modules that can form a series of sessions.

Everyday communication:

How to email and message colleagues without driving them mad. Establishing boundaries with others and managing expectations so that everyone can work without stress.

Listening:

Studying the 7 different types of active listening and how they show up at work. Understanding your own bias and approach to listening, how bad listening can cause huge problems and how we can make everyone at work feel heard.

Feedback:

The only course in feedback you’ll ever need. Our simple four-step rule on how to give good feedback can turn any potentially awkward conversation into a relationship-builder. We’ll cover bad feedback, best practice, the psychology of receiving feedback, and how the Good Shout formula can be used in any situation.

Collaboration and creativity:

Every single member of a team has a different communication style, especially under pressure. Our escape room format helps you understand how you collaborate, and demonstrates the universal process of teaming.

Team problem solving:

At Good Shout we are accredited in LEGO Serious Play, and use this advanced methodology to help teams identify problems and resolve tensions. We can help you build the future and visualise success, using brilliant bright bricks! This process really is a game-changer.

Difficult conversations:

This is the area of work that people run from the most. This innovative session, in a bespoke space and using actors and analysis will help you get to the crux of what makes a conversation difficult, and how conflict can be a brilliant thing at work, when handled sensitively.

Empathy and honesty:

Who even has time for empathy? A vastly overused and misunderstood term, very few of us have the energy to empathise in the busy day to day of things. This fascinating session unpacks the psychology of emotions, ‘people pleasing’ and white lies at work, to show you why greater empathy and more honesty are the best possible ingredients for a healthy company culture.
