Good Shout
Good Shout is a social learning and development company that helps you experiment with your voice, your talent and your thinking.
CPD accredited, we provide communications training that transforms. In our lessons we locate what’s already brilliant about you, then blow it up and add some discipline to make your voice even more powerful and distinctive.
Why communication?
Communication is everything: it’s how we relate to each other; it’s how we form and maintain relationships. Communication is key to the evolution of society! And so whether you’re communicating with an audience, or colleagues, mastering the skills is essential. That’s why we’ve brought together the best, most inspiring communicators we know to show you how it’s done.
What’s the approach?
Experimentation is core to what we do: because every single one of us should consider ourselves a walking, talking, living breathing human experiment. We encourage people to form hypotheses about themselves that we can test over time, and then decide with our facilitators what real success would look like. Our method of teaching, which fuses social learning with immersive techniques, is designed to take you out of your comfort zone in the safest spaces. We surprise, we support, and give the best feedback you’ve had in your career.
What’s the plan?
At Good Shout, we strive to make learning lovely. Why? Because for most of us, learning feels very un-lovely. At school, we were told to behave and regurgitate facts. At university (for those who attended) we got into debt and listened to long, boring lectures. In work, we were forced to do online anti-bribery training, or sat for 8 hours watching someone play with a Flipchart. Learning is a privilege, and at Good Shout we treat it with the care and respect it deserves.
What’s the ambition?
We want everyone to have a voice, regardless of who they are and where they come from. For now, this is focused on work, but in the future, we intend to branch out and make a much bigger impact on society.
