Good Shout
Our Method
At Good Shout, we get under the lid of your voice. And we do it in our own inimitable, proven, world-famous style.
Social psychology
Good Shout is Social. Backed by Social psychology and delivered as Social Learning.
When you learn as part of a group, you get as much from the people you learn with as you do from those delivering the training. Sometimes even more. Our social learning model gives you more examples of what good sounds like - a single instructor shows one approach, a group gives you a range. And every approach teaches us something. And when you see a peer excel, you think “I could do that too”.
2. Simulation
But we don’t just learn by watching others, we learn by actually doing the scary stuff.
Real practice and simulation is a core part of our training delivery. Talking about the skills, mindsets and approaches required will only get you so far. And this exposes the knowing/doing gap. Often, people will leave voice training knowing the theory, but immediately fail when they have to do it. Our simulations focus on the doing and that’s what people take away with them. Multiple exercises give us concrete examples to provide feedback for and show what right looks and feels like for each individual.
3. Introspection
There’s no formula for a good voice, no blueprint to follow, no cookie to cut. Each voice deserves to be different, and we love that they are. Brilliant speakers sound like themselves, with voices built by their own upbringing and experience. But brilliance also requires discipline and technique, and sometimes unpicking the damage that poor feedback or personal history has created.

Testimonials
“ I always thought I wasn’t a confident speaker—too many “erms,” too much jargon, and a habit of overcomplicating ideas. Good Shout changed that. It taught me how to speak with clarity, remain calm with pauses, cut the buzzwords, and make complex ideas sound effortless.
The sessions weren’t just training—they were immersive, interactive, and a real confidence boost. From podcasting to panel discussions, I stepped out of my comfort zone and actually enjoyed it. The feedback was constructive, the team was incredible, and honestly? I wish it lasted longer. If you want to communicate better - without the waffle - GoodShout is the place to be.”
Sahid Rahman, Media Director, EMEA, Whalar.
“This course will change the entire trajectory of your career and probably your life. Good Shout Public training has set me on a path to becoming a full-time media creator.
We have been conditioned to think that those on stage are superhuman, but they are not. If you want to join the cadre of professionals who want to elevate their stage presence and their delivery you need this course. Amy is not just a force of nature, she is a force for good. Your career will be all the richer from spending 6 weeks in the company of her and her wonderful team”
Sean Broderick, Director of Product Marketing, Sitecore.
“It is no exaggeration to say Good Shout sessions became my sanctuary in the cold, dark, damp depths of winter this year. After years of being told to 'just be more confident', it was a blessing to find the fine folk at Good Shout who helped me tame my chaotic internal monologues and give my self-sabotaging demons a total makeover. And the best outcome from it all - I no longer cringe at my own voice! Good Shout didn't just 'build confidence' – it helped me rediscover my voice beneath years of corporate sanitisation and find joy in using it.”
Navya Hebbar, strategist.
““Before I started Good Shout, I kept seeing other people talking about their experience of it, using words like "life changing" and "unforgettable". Big promises. But Good Shout absolutely delivered. I went from stumbling over my words to putting myself forward to speak first.
I shared a poem I wrote that made Amy cry (sorry Amy!) and truly can say it's the best course I've ever been a part of. You're thrown into the deep end in the best way, and get so much out of each session. The skills and things I've learnt help me in all areas of my life and business - anyone who is thinking about doing it, go for it! It's genuinely something I'll always be grateful for”
Ceylan Kumbarji, Founder of Shared
“I suffered severe burnout two years ago leading to a mental health crisis and total loss of confidence. I was afraid to give opinions, afraid to speak up, to be seen or heard. I was ashamed, and like thousands, had the fear of speaking up about my experience.
Good Shout gave me the courage to share my story on LinkedIn: an honest post that resonated with thousands. People could see reflections in their own experiences and no longer felt alone. And now my voice is back, better, and stronger.”
Annabelle Black, Freelance Advertising Director, Powerhouse course.
“Taking part in the Good Shout Game Show was brilliantly ridiculous and a superb refresher of training we had last year. The gamification kept our attention from beginning to end, made it possible to put what we were learning into practice immediately and was just incredibly fun. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve or practice their public speaking skills. Winning the game was the cherry on top of the cake”
Callum Jewel, senior account manager, Kinetic.
“Powerhouse was so different from any training or enablement I’ve ever done - it was extremely personal and challenged me to try new things. In our last session alone, I recorded a 10 minute podcast, wrote and performed an original Tamika Hewitt poem, and gave a 3 minute Ted Talk on ‘Why we all need to watch more Reality TV’.
“Nicky and Amy have created something genuinely transformative — a programme that blends technique, confidence-building and just the right amount of “beast mode” to help women step into their full authority. Their sessions don’t simply teach you how to speak; they help women dismantle limiting beliefs, recognise diverse forms of toxicity, silence self-doubt, and rediscover the power of their own unique and compelling voices. What they deliver is more than a course… it’s a catalyst. Women walk into the training relatively capable, but they walk out unapologetically clear and utterly unforgettable!
