A gathering in honour of grief and creativity.
A space for stories, imagination, dedications and memories.
Join us for a one-off Good Shout session focused on grief: that thing we need to talk about more. It’s something everybody experiences. One of only two certainties, and that invisible scaffolding binding our lives and loves together. Grief is everywhere and yes, it’s unfathomably painful. But it can also be beautiful.
Across half a day (in the morning, of course!) we’ll be turning our grief into something wonderful, and celebrating the lives of the ones we lost, because doing that feels nice. With a lineup of creatives and bright minds, we’ll be:
Unpacking the ritual and anthropology of death
Building loss with LEGO
Finding humour in the sadness.
Inventing our dead selves as a way to cherish life
Turning memories into masks (the good kind)
Rewriting the conversations we have about grief at work
We’ll start with delicious doughnuts.
And, of course, we’ll end with a Wake.
This will be a really special event, with no judgement and maximum kindness and curiosity. We’ll be painting and writing and creating, but please know that there’s no pressure. If you want to talk to others, talk. If you don’t, then just your presence is enough!
